Making a living as a creative is hard. For me, at least. That’s why I write this blog. It makes me feel like I have a grasp on things.

This is where I reflect on the creative life, post work, draw cartoons and provide advice based on the many mistakes I’ve made in my career—and the successes too.

In truth, I’m a creative chameleon. I fought it for a long time, concentrating on documentary photography. But all the other stuff just started oozing out. Now it’s uncontained.

I’m a photographer and maker of short films (that work is over on my portfolio website).

I draw cartoons. They end up here, mostly.

I podcast too: Life as a Visual Storyteller, The Documentary Photographer and the Oceans Project podcast.

And I’m the creative director of Show & Tell Communications. We make visual messages for business and organisations that want to communicate effectively.
